I welcome former police officer Matt Calveley to the show in this interview episode.
With an astonishing career spanning three decades in the Metropolitan Police, Matt arrested over 1,000 criminals, covered a quarter of a million miles on foot and wheels and was injured more than 30 times on duty.
He retired in 2016 with over a dozen commendations, a People of Achievement award and the Livia Award for Professionalism and Services to Justice.
On London's front line, he dealt with horrific death scenes, served as a Custody Sergeant, provided jury protection during a huge corruption trial, qualified as a mass fatality specialist and once got bitten by an escaped squirrel monkey called Clive.
In his memoir 'Cops and Horrors: Secret Tales from the Front Line', Matt offers an up close and personal view into the life of a dedicated officer serving in one of the biggest police forces in the world.
'Cops and Horrors' was released on April 14, 2022, and is available to purchase here:
