Northern Soul
Stuart looks and sounds like a failed Hollyoaks actor. But don’t let this put you off, as his narration and dulcet Northern tones are more than adequate and enough to keep you coming back for more.

Ross from Rugby
Credit where it’s due, this is a top class podcast. Stuart’s warm manner makes the subject so much more palatable, yet he’s still respectful of victims families. Brilliant research with so many lesser known cases. I’d highly recommend to any true crime fan as this is right up there.

Perfect & bitsized
I love this podcast. Stuart is funny and engaging. He tells the stories perfectly, great little listen while I do my emails at work!

Great show!
Love the show, and the fact that stu only does modern British murders as other podcasts I've listened to only tend to do talk about other countries murders or really old cases that everyone already knows about for example jack the ripper, stu has a really nice voice could listen to him for hours. Thanks for all the hours of entertainment you've given me whilst I binge your old episodes. Also have you ever thought about doing live tours in the UK with a Q&A afterwards?

amazing
love listening to this podcast while im studying. straight to the point and the episodes are really well done.

Amazing podcast, best around!
Stuart recently covered my suggestion which was the Peter Moore episode. Couldn’t have covered it any better, so much detail and and information, thanks mate! (Your Welsh could do with some improving) 😉 keep it up mate 👏🏻

Fab podcast
Stuart is like my son telling me a scary true story..lol Great format ...love the style of this podcast. I listen to every episode and look forward to it every time. Thank you for entertaining an old lady ☺️ best wishes xxx

Hey from Texas!
Finally getting around to writing a review and just wanted to say, I love your podcast!! I listened everyday at work til I got caught up on all the seasons, guess I’m obsessed?😂 it’s fascinating hearing about crimes outside the US and I truly enjoy the episodes with special guests and other podcasters! Like so many others have said, I also love the accent. My sister lives in the UK and I probably have just forgotten, but found any cases near Cambridge? Keep up the awesome work!

Top tier
I recently stumbled across this podcast. I’ve started from season one. I’m currently on season three. Listening via Spotify. Honestly such a refreshing podcast, Stuart engages the listeners so well. So factual and knowledgeable. Such an easy listen for any true crime lover!

Great podcast
This podcast is amazing and it’s great if you like true crime but not the ‘over-dramatics’ that others (mainly US) provide. Stuart is easy to listen to and weirdly he looks exactly like he sounds…

Informative, respectful and very charming
Absolutely love this podcast. Stuart is a fantastic host who really does make you feel like you're at a sleepover and your friend is telling you a creepy story. His ability to research even the saddest cases never ceases to amaze me. Love his humour and accent, they both made me binge the entire podcast in three weeks. Great choice of guests for interviews too, I've learned so much I didn't know before. Much love from Germany

great podcast
I discovered this podcast a couple of months ago and I’m completely addicted. I listen to them on runs, walking, cooking, cleaning and even in the bath 😊 I’m already worried about what I’ll do when I’ve listened to them all!

I'm hooked
I came across this podcast recently and it ticks all the boxes, I'm completely fasinated

Great Podcast
I listen during my long commute and really enjoy the format. Just the right length and I enjoy the added commentary. Keep up the great work!

Found you by accident
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts on spotify as i drive a lot for work, i stumbled upon yours and listened to a whole series in one night 🙈 i love that its British as I am from Nottinghamshire. Keep up the good work and looking forward to catching up on the ones i haven't listened to yet!

New one for you.
Hi Stu, I am a Lancashire expat, living on the Prairies in Canada, and have just finished listening to all your podcasts to date, so am feeling a bit lost. Love hearing all the northern sayings and accent, and being familiar with a lot of the places mentioned. I especially love the compassion you have for the victims and families, and how you never seem to be desensitized to the inhumanity of it all. I was wondering if you knew anything about a murder that happened in The Swinton area of what is now Greater Manchester, back on March 11th, 1966, not too far from where I lived and very close to my music teachers house. I remember her saying, I’m glad the murderer turned that way and not this that evening, as she had a daughter the same age as the young girl murdered and I was a few years older. The girl was Juliet Callaghan age 12, and the Murder was Gordon Joseph Wheeler who was convicted of Manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. That is all I can find out, not much on the web about it, that was in the national Archives. Keep up the excellent work. Don’t know how you keep it all together. I am now off to try to find where I can buy you a coffee ☕️, not too tech savvy.

A good find!!
I stumbled across this podcast while searching for something new to listen to. Ten episodes in one evening... you could say I'm hooked. Three of those episodes I'd never heard of before. Love the podcast.

So friendly and Informative!
It is honestly so refreshing to listen to a British podcast that has charisma and friendliness, but focuses on fact and not opinion! I feel like the host is my friend who’s telling me about a case and it’s lovely! Easy to listen to, especially if you like to listen while in bed! Thank you!!

Bite size infoburst
Have been binge listening to the back catalogue, and have enjoyed listening to the growth and evolution of this podcast. I love the short considered presentation & the humour/ personality put into each case. Some of these cases I recall some not so much however really interesting. Thank you for taking the time to research, write and present these cases with compassion.

Awesome Informative Podcast!
Very much enjoy listening to your podcasts! Informative, clear and perfect to listen whist I am on dog walks or doing housework - I actually look forward to doing housework now! I found you via CrimeCon and I really look forward to meeting you in June 2023!

Ex Pat
Having only just started to listen to podcasts in general, I started off by listening to Crime Junkies (an American podcast). Whilst it was good, being American didn't quite work for me...hence my venture into British Murders (I'm an ex-pat from London, living in New Zealand). Love the humour and wit, and of course all the crime. looking forward to catching up on all the back episodes...

Brilliant
Only just found your podcast and already hooked. Listened to a couple randomly but now started from S1Ep1 and working my way through. Nearly finished S1 and so glad I've got plenty to keep me going.

Just perfect
Great podcast. Each episode is long enough to tell the story, but doesn’t go on and on like other podcasts of the same genre. I must admit I have a man crush on Stuart! There. I’ve said it! Keep up the good work!

Absolutely love listening to British murders. It’s written so well and flows amazingly. Plus Stuart character really shines through making it an even easier listen. This was the first podcast I got addicted to and now religiously listen to both this and killer stories and love the collaboration episodes. It is a must listen if you love true crime

Absolutely amazing
Perfect simply perfect I love everything about this show it's amazing stu is an amazing guy who shows incredible respect for the victims familys can't fault him :)

Amazing podcast 100% recommend
My first things to say is thank you for making these amazing episodes they are very good and entertaining I found you after my brother recommended you to me and I have fallen in love with the show ever since the ice breaker segment are so cute and the 5 quick fire facts about the town/city are very good and interesting a story that may be good for a season special is the story of the Yorkshire ripper Peter Sutcliffe again thanks so much for making the podcast can’t wait for more as unfortunately I have now caught up keep up the great work mate

American admirer
Discovered this podcast recently while browsing Spotify and I love it. It is marvelous to me how you give a wonderfully sympathetic, solidly-researched, and yet at moments laugh-out-loud hilarious narrative to these dramatic cases. Since moving away from the U.S. (I live in Chile now) I have become somewhat of an anglophile, and definitely enjoy the accent. Your voice is easy to listen to and I enjoy a couple of episodes after the kids are in bed to help me relax. Side note, I heard you read a review from another american in season 5, episode 2, and I about died laughing--typical american attitude, regrettably, and total bunk lol. Your american accent is on point, fyi.

Fascinating
British Murders is a concise podcast without all the needless faff. Interesting cases, some lesser known ones too. Engaging delivery from Stuart, highly recommended.

All of them
Love the way it's presented without a whole lot of rubbish, jokes etc. Straight to the point and informative.
