Great Show!
As a long time true crime reader, I’m always looking for new podcasts covering the subject. I don’t know how I stumbled over British Murders but I’m very pleased I did. Interesting cases, told in a sensitive and detailed way. Loving the regional accent too, not enough of that in media! Recommending all over the place to friends who are also interested in the subject. Keep up the excellent work!
Fantastic Podcast
Up there with the best true crime podcasts out there, Short episodes & concise, no chit chat, just pure story telling.
Great crime series
Excellent podcast. I enjoy listening to at least one episode a day. Love the accent Stuart, very easy to listen to. Episodes are concise and descriptive. Keep up the good work. Annette, ( from Noosa Queensland)
Love this podcast!
I’ve just starting listening to this, but the episodes are short and snappy, so I’ve just had them on whilst I’m working. Lots of cases I’ve come across before. I too share the morbid fascination as well, but it’s great to hear it delivered so well, and with a wry, Yorkshire sense of humour (it’s not a disrespectful tone though - it’s a defo Northern thing!).
Great to make the work days shorter
I love that you don't go into to much detail out of respect to the victims. Only the important bits and nothing gratuitous. Nice but of comedy to break the ice too. Loved the dad facts or opening comments so I know if I had already heard that episode right off the bat. From Vancouver, Canada!
brilliant

Amazing podcast
Been struggling with school lately and this morbid yet hilarious podcast has been getting me through my days.
Very addictive
I started listening whilst sat working at my desk, the content, murder stories, both famous and unknown are really well read and I love the guest interviews. The great Yorkshire accent is really comfortable to listen to and keeps me interested throughout and as I am binge listening at the mo, its going all day! and that's high praise from a Lancashire Lass. Cheerio!
Awesome!
Excellent podcast. Keep them coming!
My Favourite British Podcast
I'm so glad to have stumbled across this podcast. By far it is my absolute favourite British Podcast to date. I have binged every episode so far and really enjoy the way they are presented. My Favourite episode has to be the interview with Christopher Berry-Dee, he sounded like such a great guy, and I will be buying his books. As for Stuart, thank you for putting this podcast together so we'll, I love your presenting style and can't wait for the next seasons
Fab
I’m really enjoying this podcast, it’s easy to listen to, really interesting, fab host and a lot of the cases I’d not heard of, thank you 😀
Fabulous!
Love this series. Was playing catch up for a while but now kept eagerly waiting every Thursday. Ironically, the length is perfect but I always want more! An interesting case to cover would be that of Carol and Peter Tillbrook of Mitcham, with whom I had a connection via my father as a child. Ang, South East London.
Absolutely 💯% Brilliant
I absolutely love this podcast it has very interesting cases and is delivered in a brilliant British way. The horror movie glimpses are a nice touch on how to break up episodes and I love the variety of guests. Stuart has an amazing voice and fantastic style in his presenting his podcasts. One of your biggest fans xxx
Fabulous!
I’m very new to podcasts and this is one of the first I’ve listened to. I’m absolutely hooked! I suffer with insomnia and spend my nights now catching up on the episodes. I’ve also joined Patreon so I can now access other exclusive content. Thank you to the host Stuart for keeping me company on the nights of no sleep and one last thing to say…..’cheerio!’
Recommended to other murder lovers!
Love it! Have binged up to season 4 in the last week. Easy to follow and the lightheartedness is a great way to tackle such a morbid subject.
Spellbinding
So glad I found it. Surely the home of Agatha Christie and Arthur Cannon Doyle does it better and Stuart Blues is a talented storyteller and conducts fascinating interviews. Listen everyday. My serial killer haiku- Soon the night will come So many pretties walking Which one is for me
Love love love!
Came across your podcasts on Spotify, I love the episode that I listened to so, decided to listen all the way from your 1st episode to your most recent episodes whiles working, absolutely love them, keep up the good work! Best podcast on Spotify!
Great stuff
Love listening to this podcast just before bed or in the car- great voice and subtle sense of humour that lifts an otherwise dark topic. Have introduced my sister and a few friends to this podcast and they all enjoy it too! My only bug is that the episodes are too short 😑 Keep up the great work.

Love this podcast
I love this podcast. Started listening to podcasts to drift off to sleep. Your voice is soothing and gentle and I love your accent which makes it enjoyable to listen to. Always look forward to a new episode.
Excellent
As a criminology tutor I recommend this to students to look at the background of specific crimes. I like the quick, no nonsense approach as it means I can binge a couple of episodes in a dog walk. Just bought you a 🍺
Love the accent of the host and the concise storytelling of the episodes
When lockdown began I revisited all my favorite "cozy" murder writers from the Golden Age of Detective Fiction (Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, Josephine Tey) and although most of the stories told in your podcast are anything but "cosy" they illustrate the continuum of how murder can be very personal. Living in the U.S. I'm much more familiar with American accents, but I love hearing your northern accent and the slang you use occasionally. Keep bringing stories to us!
5 big fat stars
You’re podcast has been a saviour for me over the past few months, I like to think of you as a slightly morbid knight in shining armour :) jokes aside, you make my work days go so much quicker and I’ve not long recovered from major surgery, and your soothing voice and intriguing stories really helped me pull through when times were tough. Keep up the good work, you’re very talented!
Morbid listening but informative
Love this podcast, I listen all the time now, its all obv very morbid but very interesting and informative, some I have never heard of and I live in Scotland. Its easy to listen because you have a lovely voice so makes up for the horrid contents spoken about.
Fantastic!
This is such a great podcast! I discovered it a couple of weeks ago (via Scottish Murders) and have now binged my way current. I work from home and Stuart has been the perfect audio companion for my work day. I appreciate the shorter episode length and enjoy the bonus interviews and crossovers with other podcasters. Looking forward to new content!
Love this podcast
I'm a fan, I do love a good murder/crime podcast to listening before I sleep. I would love to here about Jake Davison please.
one of the best
Having listened to many different true crime podcasts, British Murders is one of the best. From cases and facts to presentation. Stuart does a great job.
Totally Awesome
Hello there Stuart! I really love ur show, im new to ur podcast but i really love it since u have so much info in that amount of time.. really interestin too.. keep the awesome stuff comin..
An absolute gem of a show!
This is a gem of a true crime podcast! I’ve been listening for a good while now and really look forward to new episodes having exhausted all of the older ones. Each episode is very well written, Stuart hits the right balance of factual and respectful narrative with a smattering of dark humour that’s needed to not make the story too sombre listening, and all delivered in a lovely lilting northern accent. I love the format of shorter and longer episodes and the interviews are super interesting too. Thanks for making those boring work commutes for more enjoyable!
